OCTOBER 29 – NOVEMBER 5, 2017
Kandy Samadhi Retreat Centre, Sri Lanka
Ready to devote 5 days & nights to your innate joyful potential?
Modern life is nuts. We’ve lost ourselves in an ocean of screens and celebrity and work and busyness and… maybe you’d like to remember who you are and where you come from?
Join us in Sri Lanka on a yoga-inspired journey designed to lead you straight back into the Heart of your Joy.
Start each day with a guided meditation practice led by Ben Ralston that will relax your body and focus your mind, leaving you clear, calm, centred and on-point.
Following breakfast, Ben will lead a pranayama (breathing) session, and then Kara-Leah will take you on a 2 hour yoga immersion focused on intimacy with breath and energetic flow. Expect a combination of postures, breath-work, visualisation and fun.
Throughout the day there will be plenty of downtime to recharge by the Hulu-Ganga river, bathe amongst the rocks and baby rapids, soak up a massage, journal, enjoy the lotus ponds, or simply take a nap.
With no signal for mobile phones, this is the perfect opportunity to journey deeply into yourself. Let nothing interrupt the sound of forest birdsong, tree frogs and crickets and the whisper of the breeze from the trees.
The pavilion accommodation is designed to make you feel you are the only person staying here. Privacy is everything. Yet there are no unnecessary walls.
This results in a truly serene environment surrounded by urns, art and treasures dating back to a time when Kandy was a Royal realm. Here everything is king-sized. The Indonesian teak bed in a double room is spacious enough to sleep three people comfortably. But even the smallest suite provides a four-poster bed to dream in.

All the food prepared at Samadhi is organic and freshly picked before each meal. It is vegetarian cookery at its best. The rice you eat is home grown and one of thirteen ancient Sinhala varieties organically farmed in the paddy fields across the river. The water you drink is sourced directly from an unpolluted mountain spring on Samadhi land.
After a healthy, wholesome, buffet-style lunch, Ben will work with the group on releasing any resistance to your expression of authentic Self. Kara-Leah will close the afternoon session with a combination of prana vinyasa, free-flow movement and yin yoga.
Evenings will be a time for socialising and vibing with the tribe in organised and casual gatherings.
You will leave this retreat deeply grounded, heart-centered and empowered with a set of practical tools for expanding into presence and joy.

If the flow goes that way, we may be blessed with some Yin Yoga from Nik.

“I loved the shared kinship and support. I loved watching others go through their healing processes and transform as the weight of trauma was released from their beings. I loved the bravery and courage of each and every person there. And I loved the profound impact it had on me – the way my heart was cracked wide open in a feeling of universal love.”~ Michelle, Heart of Joy
“If I rated The Heart of Freedom 10 out of 10, I would sound like a complete cheeseball. Though, I do seriously feel, it was one of the most important things I have done for myself…ever.” ~ Jemma, Heart of Freedom

You can be a complete yoga beginner, with very limited flexibility. Or you might have been practiced for twenty years or more and be able to do all kinds of advanced postures.
It doesn’t matter. Kara-Leah teaches according to the needs of the room and the focus is not on achieving or attaining postures, but on cultivating presence and feeling states.
